All concrete beds are made with high strength concrete and a steel reinforcement grid. Built to last for decades. Living soil comprised of wood, worms, and vermicast provides the biology for just as long.
Concrete beds
- The Cedar cap makes for a sharp look, or keep it simple and go without.
- Install is included or buy the kit and do it yourself.
Living soil system
- Hugelkultur and a vermicast-and-compost cap — the engine under the plants, not a bag of potting dirt.
- A worm start of about a thousand red wigglers. From then on the bed is its own bin.
- Kitchen scraps in rotating corners, or we come monthly to feed and check the bed. Biology, not salt, does the work.
